Depends what you want to do. Crucial and Corsair are generally the best for compatibility, stability and warranty returns. If you are planning to overclock, then you'll need to look at specific kits, rather than just brands.

I used to go with Mushkin, but lately I have become a GSkill fanboy.
Get your DDR now as it's only going to become more costly in the future.

If you can, I would really look at going to DDR2, but the early indicators are showing that it will increase in cost too, not as fast as DDR will, but the quality chips used for DDR2 are getting more pricey.

DDR3 is the new kid on the block, but don't expect to see it at a price that makes it cost effective until this time next year.

Just as DDR hit the sweet spot this time last year as SDRAM was falling off the market.
