I have a friend with a Sony Vaio PCG-K33 notebook and the specs say it takes PC-2100 266Mhz DDR memory - I have some extra sticks after the upgrade of a Toshiba A135 which uses PC2-4200 DDR2.
Question is: is the RAM from the Toshiba backward compatible to the spec the Sony is looking for?
ddr 2 and ddr don't work together unless you get a chipset that has sex with its cousin from Alabama, in that case you would only have one mainboard with that kinda thing, however, your a laptop so they don't exist, you are out of luck.
