I just bought most of my parts to a new gaming system and have started to put it all together. One thing I noticed once I started plugging everything in, is that the mobo (foxconn p35a) has a 4 pin power connector directly above the pci-e slot. Foxconn is telling me it's for supplemental power for the graphics slot.

The graphics card I bought has a 6 pin power connector of it's own however, and I'm just a little worried, and inexperienced enough not to know for sure what to do.

Will plugging in the 4 pin on the mobo for the graphics slot and the 6 pin into the card itself give it too much power? Is it possible to even do this? does the power from the 4 pin slot on the mobo itself get applied differently than the power from the 6pin slot? I don't want to end up frying anything when I power it up for the first time.

Please help >_<

Use both the MB auxillary 4 pin 12v and the 6 pin lead from the psu to the video card. Otherwise your system will be underpowerd and won't post.
