CD/DVD Reader/Writer at 25-50 dollars

Anyone have any strong feelings for or against any of Newegg's available products? Or is it pretty much just different names colors and the same quality of product at this price range?

Just go for a 30 or so dollar DVD+RW.... Nec seems to be a good choice.

For inexpensive, I have a preference for Samsung and Lite-On. Of course, YMMV.

Those cheap writers last about half a year or so (my experience); but they are so cheap that I don't care.

No,they're not just name and color. You can get a quality name brand CD/DVD in the $20-$30 range. I've had much success with NEC and Lite-On.

I hear that the (http://www.pioneer.se/se/products/45/104/442/DVR-112BK/index.html) Pioneer DVR-112 is one of the best burners on the market atm. They have a new 212 version out with SATA now.
