Hi,

I hope I posted this in the correct place. I checked my event viewer and saw that there are a few errors and predominantly are "Error - Service Control Manager".

The error I receive with it is :

"The Parallel port driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

Any help will be aprreciated. Thank you!

Do you have anything connected to the parallel port interface? Do you even have a parallel port? Is it disabled in the bios?

Unless you have something hooked upto it, I wouldn't worry about it. If you want disable the parallel port driver service so it won't ever start. This will stop the errors.

Usually a wide parallelogram looking connection on the back of the computer. Many times it is purple in color. Many newer motherboards do not have them.
In the Bios it will probably be listed as LPT1.
