I bought a WD800JD SATA3.0 HDD for my computer and installed it, but when I went to the 'My Computer' it does not show up. I have an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe m/b and already have a Samsung 120G HDD installed, but through the IDE interface. I have tried to install drivers, but am not sure which one I need. On the disk provided with the M/B, it talks about a Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATARaid Controller OS Driver. I have the SATA connections on the M/B and don't think I need to buy a controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For XP Clink on My Computer, then select disk management. It should then show the HD connected. Select your new HD's and init/format/mount the drive.

You need to go into Computer Management / Disk Management and partition and format the drive. This gives it a letter, and causes it to show in My Computer.
