How to fix run-time error '-2147319779 (8002801d)':

im having some trouble... im getting a message that keeps saying run-time error '-2147319779 (8002801d)': this happens when im trying to play a loaded a cd into my cd/dvd rom drive.. my operating system is win xp.. arghh so frustrating because im trying to run a manual cd so i can fix a different problem im having with my rounter.. anyone able to give me some advice?

Maybe that CD requires some sort of .NET Framework ?
Try installing .NET framework and the .NET 2.0 Framework. I would also run windows updates afterwards to make sure you are patched up.
