What is the best software to fully "Stress" the CPU and record core temperature benchmarks?
I have an ASUS P5N32-E mobo and Intel E6600 Core2Duo. It seems the intel thermal analysis tool (TAT) is the most recommended, but this does not work with nvidia 680i chipset.
Speedfan and Coretemp for temps. Orthos for load. TAT puts an unrealistic load on the chip - far more than any combination of programs running at 100%.
For Asus boards, make sure your CPU or case temp reads lower than your cores by 10C or so. If not, check bios to see that PECI is enabled.
