I have the EVGA GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E Video Card
In the total available memory field it says that its 751mb. I was wondering if its possible to reduce that since its using 1/4th of my 2gig memory.
Im a newbi at this and have no idea if this is normal or not, could it be because I'm using a motherboard with onboard graphics? its a gigabyte 965g ds3
i get a 403 as well...anyway, make sure to go into your BIOS (it should say something like press DEL to BIOS SETUP when u start your computer). make sure that any onboard graphic options are OFF. where is this total available memory field thing? is this in vista or xp or another OS?
Vista handles memory different than XP. If you have 2GB+ system ram up to 1023mb can be allocated for video and graphics. I don't believe that can be adjusted at this time. Mine is 1022mb(including 256mb from my video card).
