I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 (3.3) motherboard, working on overclocking and i went to far. When i try to reset the cmos by removing the battery for 5 minutes i put it back in and the same, it turns on but the monitor won't find the computer. Plus i get the "Cmos" error two beeps. I keep reading guides about "shorting" the 2 pins, i unplugged it and pressed a screwdriver on them but nothing. I Really need help, can someone give me some way to reset this CMOS!
try using a paper clip, take the paper clip unravel it and touch one end of the paper clip to one pin and the other end of the paper clip to the other pin. Hold them there for about 5 seconds. it worked for me when i had to clear the CMOS. hope it helps
Totally new discovery!!!! I took out my Evga 8800gtx card and put in my old Radeon x600 and it worked! IT still gave me the two beep error but my computer came on and im at the bios screen. Can anyone suggest why it might not work with the video card?
