Got this from Link below.

http://www.pcmech.com/show/troubleshoot/14/

Award BIOS BEEP CODES : 1 Long, 2 Short indicates a problem with the video card or the memory on it http://www.pcmech.com/article/beep-codes/page-3.htm

Also your first line of defense in finding the meaning of those
beeps are your computer's support vendor.Your vendor
should have a directory of BIOS beep patterns.

Hope this helps you out some.

this is all stuff that's included in an A+ exam... unfortunately for you, i don't remember any of it... but that may help you look up the codes... should be pretty standard... I think the beeps are set as a standard... and should be the same over any bios... but I dunno, like i said, i don't remember very well... just look up what it is on the A+ test requirements if you're not sure. (if it is the memory like the dude above mentioned... move it to a different slot if you don't have a spare (working) chip. :p

also... maybe try connecting it to a different outlet in your house... especially not one that's connected to a light switch (if it currently is, that'll screw up a lot of crap) if you move it to a different outlet in the same room it's likely that it's still on the same breaker... so try to change breakers... could be something wrong in your house/ appartment (it's happend to me before, stupid old electrical codes!)

Beep codes for AMI BIOS-eqipped boards: http://bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm , and for Award http://bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm .
They both indicate a video problem.
So... first: detach monitor cable and remove the graphics card (while power cable to computer is unplugged) and then plug the graphics card back in.
When the monitor cable is re-attached (and the power cable is re-plugged in), try starting your computer and see if it's a go.
If not, try a the other PCI-Express slot for the graphics card and see if the computer will boot, or if you get the same beep error code.
If it's the same beep error code with the card in a different slot, the graphics card might be toast (try it in a friend's system that has a PCI-Express slot on it to see if the card works at all). If it boots in the other slot, one of your PCI-Express slots might be fried.
When this catastrophe is figured out and you're back to computing like normal (fingers crossed), make sure to spend $60 to $100 on a good UPS to help prevent another scary power event from afflicting your system (it's well worth the money).
Let us know the results, either way.
