Best Sli Board?

Ok, my second Asus Stiker Extreme failed today and I'm not really in the mood to try a third. I just want a board that is reliable and can be slightly overclocked. I was considering trying and EVGA or MSI board. All suggestions welcome, thanks in advance.

How did your Striker's fail? I have the P5N32-E SLI which is pretty much the same and it's great.

I would call Bonnie over at ASUS RMA Dept and ask very nicely about a new Striker. Normally after 2 bad boards they will send you out a new one. I would then wait until the new Intel X38 Boards come out.

Besides the 3 already mention. You might want to look at the DFI 680i board. I rate it in top 3 boards.

Those are my suggestion, unless you wish to wait for P-38 boards to come out. Also it seems lately that Asus has been having a rash of bad boards. I also lost one due to SouthBridge dieing.

I have had my EVGA 680i SLI since December 06. I have tried some pretty high OC's basically reaching the limit of the CPU and the board has held up admirably. My memory has faulted twice and this has been due to bad modules since they were running unlinked from the main FSB at optimum settings, not the fault of the board. I have some good modules now and everything is humming right along.

For that I recommend the Evga board. There is a reason it is often used as the test bed for many web review sites.

From what I've read, only one X38 board that I've seen so far will support sli, the Foxconn X38A. Apparently, their drivers will support both Crossfire and SLI, but every other X38 board only supports crossfire. That being said, I don't know why NVIDIA would only let Foxconn do this.
