vista is taking for ever in a day to buring 164 meg -- in actual fact its going to take 3.35 hours??? Would be faster to download it from the net

Details of my setup below- can anyone help?

DVD/cd writer ASUS DRW-1814BLT both CD writer and HD are SATA

Anyone got any ideas? Is it vista?

All drivers are up todate

It's not Vista, I am only running an Athlon 2800+ Barton (I think) 1GB of Ram and a 16x LG DVD Burner and I burnt a 4.2GB DVD that included 2 Movie that had to be encoded and it only took about 1/2 hour. :)
Possible a Software issue, or a faulty drive.

What's the burning software? Did you accidentally set it to the lowest speed in burning?try using different software....perhaps you could try using a CD/DVD+/-RW disc

Was using Vista Explorer -- drag and drop.

Just installed and updated Nero but Vista does not work well using drag and drop.

So in answer to my own question = use Nero 7!
