Just built my new pc and i'm using speedfan to monitor my temps. i have a gigabyte ga m61p s3 motherboard with an x2 3600 brisbane. so temp 1 one speedfan says 35C and core temp is 25C but my bios says its 34C, so in speedfan should i look @ the temp 1 temp for my cpu, or look at the core temp? any help is appreciated

Not to spread a rumor, but from all that I've read and seen using every program I can get my hands on, the core reading parts on the brisbane cores don't work.

Thats the most likely reason why you are seeing such weird differences between cores.

Speedfan and the like tell me core 0 is 1c, and core 1 is -1. :bounce:

weird. i just don't know which one to look at. cpu temp is 53C and core temps are 43C. I also ran Core temp 95 it said core temps of 39/43 same as speed fan, but speed fan has cpu temp of 53C. so believe cpu temp or core temps?

There is an unconfirmed (by AMD) problem with the on-die temp sensor (a diode) that results in bad temps being reported. Its not really a MoBo or apps issue, its the CPU itself. I am not expecting a fix for this.
