Alright, i am going to build a computer in august and I just wanna run past what i have for you guys to give feedback or help. It will be used mainly for gaming and school work. My budget is around $1100. Ok, so here it is...

case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811119068

Hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822144417

vid card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130082

CD/DVD drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16827101131

Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817182044

RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820144062

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813128050

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115013

Then the rest is made up of OS (xp home), headset, extra case fan, and monitor (19" wide screen).

I plan to learn to overclock the e4300 until i can afford a better processor. Do you think this system is sturdy, and will last a couple years with some upgrades along the way?

Thanks for your imput!

The resowill psu are not so great. I would look for a more reliable company especialy if its going to power the gts, i forgot how many amps it needs. Its very importaint that you get a quality psu with enough amps (with a litle extra aps) so that way you PC can live for a long time. There are couple of psu tutorials on this site so dig around and make sure you get one that WILL handle your whole system. I would wait for that July 22 price break since lots of prices are being cut by almost half so there is a chance of core 2 duo falling in your price range.

I really don't get it, people keep saying no to Rosewills and new people keep wanting to buy them (no offense and it's not your fault, probably good advertising from Rosewill), but the fact is that they are crappy PSU. I guess it's sort of like the P4 advertising, no matter how much they sucked intel did sell a shitload of them.

Anyway onto PSUs, I like these two PSUs:

Antec NeoHE 500 ATX12V 500W Power Supply 100Vac to 240Vac +/- 10% UL, CUL, TUV, CE, FCC, CCC, CB, C-tick - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817103940&Tp k=Antec%2bneohe%2b500

(I have this one, you can check out my hardware config to see)

SeaSonic S12 Energy Plus SS-550HT ATX12V / EPS12V 550W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CE, CB, TUV, FCC - Retail

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151027

(an d that one is just great)

Other than the rosewill PSU I have no negative comments on your build (The only recommendation is maybe wait until July 22 and get a faster CPU) and I wish you luck :)
