Older MB models are often discounted on "closeout", but there won't be any average price decline. In fact, new MBs based on Intel's new P35 chipset will probably sell for premium prices for a while.
Anyone got any idea how much of a drop to expect with the processors? I'm trying to spec up a new system right now and don't know whether it's worth waiting - problem is, I guess no-one can tell how long it'll take retailers to drop their prices!
The major low-price internet vendors should track the Intel price cuts quite quickly (within hours/days), unless there is sustained high demand. For example, the e4300 street price stayed high for weeks after its introduction because there was a lot of demand for it as a good overclocker.
