OK, I'm able to get up to 2.8 stable keeping the volts all standard, except vDIMM is up 0.2 and vCore is up to 1.400. I can't seem to get any higher. I have an e6600, and am unable to hit 3.0 ghz with this board. I have tried the vCore up to 1.4625, DIMM up 0.2, MCH up 0.1, FSB up 0.1, and PCIe standard. Timings are 4-4-4-12. Details are in my sig. Any ideas? Turn up the CPU voltage? Loosen memory timings? Bang my fists on my case? :wahoo:

I've tried and tried...and can't get above 3.0 Ghz. I've had it up to 1.5 volts, and no matter what, it won't post at anything above 3.0
What else can I try? I have all other volts up 0.1 (except Vdimm is up to 2.1). I thought this was easily supposed to get 3.2!! Thoughts?

Tried doing both of those things. Made sure all the unnecessary settings were disabled in BIOS (C1E, CIA2, EIST, VT, CPUID, etc.). Ran Memtest to make sure my RAM was OK - ran for over 10 tests, no errors.

One weird thing that happened. When I had it at 3.0 with 8X multi, CPU-z and TAT read the speed correctly (2988 mhz), but SiSoftware and PCMark05 read my speed as if I had a 9X multi, so it was 3386. Why would that be?

SiSoftware and PCMark05 assume that the multi is 9X because that's the default for the e6600.

You could've just gotten unlucky with parts. Some CPUs/Mobos overclock better than others.

Maybe try the F10 BIOS for the DS3. I found that one to be the best for OCing the CPU.
