not to sound too negative but this article was one of the poorest I've seen from toms in 5+ years.
The authors very poor construction of an 'index' from which they then rely on to make commentry and draw conclusions, makes much of this article flawed. It's akin to "lets put apples and oranges together and measure vegetables". (yes vegetables, not even fruit..).
A lot of good effort has gone into capturing measurements etc and with some more effort this article could be vastly improved. Your local university professor may be a great source for feedback on the constructs used and some better options.
