I have to admit first that this is my 5th custom build i have done (for myself) but admittingly it is my first intel CPU i have used for myself. and i would like to get an aftermarket HeatSink and Fan but honestly i have no idea what has been the best. here is my setup

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 w/ stock HS+F
using Artic Silver 5 for thermal compound
Asus P5N32-E SLi MOBO
2GB OCZ DDR2 800MHz (2x1GB)
1 EVGA 8800GTS 640MB Superclocked
Creative X-Fi
Thermaltake Armor Case (Black w/o the side fan)

My Temps

CPU @ Idle 26C
Mobo @ Idle 33C
GPU @ Idle 58C

these temps are after 4 hours of playing BF2142 on max settings

CPU = highest recorded at 42C
MoBo = highest recorded at 40C
GPU = Highest recorded at 74C

so if you hav any thoughts as to what would be a good HS+F please let me know. price i am not too worried about i am not interested in Water cooling and yes i do play to OC the CPU sooner or later
