plz help me i think i got a virus through facebook on toshiba laptop the computer shut itself down to protect itself but when it came back on i couldnt connect to the internet using a dongle. When i run my curser over the icon at the bottom that tells you whether your connected to the internet it says the dependency group or service failed to start. connection status unknown. ive checked my network adapter's and it says they are working properly i really need help with this plzzzz

I don't think that it is a virus or malware. Seems to be an issue with the OS itself. Have a look at this link to resolve the issue:
