hello
when you are talking about 4pin,do you mean the square one with 2pins with 12V and 2pins with ground?

Im asking that because my PSU has a 20 pin one and one i mentioned above.
Will i be able to use it in new MBs?
(i have an amd 2500+ now)
Thanks!

That's not the same. If I'm thinking correctly about the one your talking about it's a supplimentary power connector that existed before they went to the 24 pin standard. I know there are 24 to 20 pin adapters but I don't think you will be able to use a 20 pin PSU with a 24 pin motherboard, it won't provide enough power. The one the OP is talking about is a 24 pin connector with 4 pins that slide off for use in a 20 pin board. Newer boards need a 24 pin + another 4 pin so if your planning on a new board plan on a new PSU

Hopefully this picture will help the confusion. There's the 4+4 connector and the 20+4 connector, 2 seperate things.
