Im asking this because Im not sure if I want to spend 300 dollars for windows 7

But I plan on getting the I7 920 processor and I heard windows 7 utilizes the multiple cores the best?

Thanks for any comments

It scores slightly lower than x86 in 3DMark06. Most games are 32-bit, so XPx64 installs them into the Program Files (x86), which, in turn, uses Windows-On-Windows to run them. For what it's worth, I have been running XPx86, XPx64, and Win7RC1x64 on the same machine, and I cannot see the difference in the same games' performance in xpx86 and XPx64. And XPx64 lets me use all my memory.
