I recently build up my custom pc (not a beginner, done a few times before). I read some great things about C2D system, so I buildt my own.(below the post are my specs) So my problem is that if I do overclocking I got random BOSDs. I only want to overclock my cpu, nothing else. I have tried fsb 1000,1066,1100 so far but no luck, after 8-9 hours of computer usage BOSD (harware failure, irq not less or equal, etc). Without fsb overclock rock stable. I have xp sp 2 professional, latest drivers from asus website, latest 608 bios for the mobo. No matter if I disable eist and speed step stil BOSD. I have unlinked the fsb from memory stil nothing good. I havent touched voltages (memory timming set to 4-3-3-9 (stable, tested with memtest) from 5-5-5-18).
I even got a heatsink for the south bridge because it was real hot.

Any help is appreciated (sorry for my english)

I had to up my northbridge voltage a notch for an overclock, but that was with an e6600, when the fsb is already 1066. it's worth a shot, but with those high ambient temps, you might need an aftermarket northbridge cooler. I got one from thermalright, it's great. set memory timings to auto, link to the fsb and you should be good. if you can achieve stability, then try tightening up the memory timings.
