I've got an old computer hanging around that has been having overheating issues and I've determined it's because the heatsink doesn't properly sit on the processor due to a broken clip on the mount. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a proper mount for my Socket 478 2.4 Ghz Northwood. Any links, suggestions or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about replacing a broken clip on the stock HSF. Check newegg and buy an entire new aftermarket hsf for cheap. If you live in Southern, CA, I have an old stock 478 HSF I let go for like $10.00 if I pay shipping. PM me.

Mount not sure - new clip can't be found? or maybe someone who installed an aftermarket cooler and also bought a boxed 478 still has the entire stock hsf somewhere in the garage?
If purchase a new one, I don't even need to say about the usual Zalman, Scythe and Thermaltake - you already know.
Well.. yes, this option is more expensive, but still it is some sort of a solution - don't know what do you think about that, but here are some of them anyway:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835118112 (this one will fit on 478, but for future use on 775 you'll need to buy an add-on separately)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835118114 (this one has "brackets" for both 478 and 775 and 120mm fan)
