Forum Graphics & Displays : Graphics Cards 8800 & A8N-Sli Deluxe

Hi,

I'm thinking of upgrading my two 6600GT for a single 8800GTS very soon, however the double height of the 8800 worries me.

Looking at the A8N-SLi, there appears to be a tiny silver cased fan right near the end of the primary PCI Express slot. I'm worried that the dual height card might touch or partially block the fan. I'm not sure but I think this is a chipset fan, and its not a bulky after market one, its a stock Asus fan.

Has anyone here fitted a dual height card to their Asus A8N-SLi, in the primary slot? Does it interfere the airflow to the chipset fan?

Heres a image of the A8N to help...

Thanks in advance

OK, so the one on the left is primary? From what I see itll be ok, as itll (the fan) ride to the right of where it seats . Looking ay my card, (Ihave the side off the case) it appears to be approx. 1 1/2 inches wide. You could measure your board and check for clearance. I think itll be ok

The blue one nearest to the "A8N-SLi Deluxe" label is the primary PCI-E slot.
