Hello everyone! Looking at putting together a new computer, and wanted yall's opinions on the build. The only thing I've bought so far is the case, an Antec Nine Hundred. I will be overclocking the CPU for sure, and probably the video card and RAM. All of these prices are Newegg unless noted. I'll be using the PC for gaming, photo and video editing, and lots of multi-tasking.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R: $160 (open for other recommendations for a good overclocking P35 board, no SLI needed, but I like the DDR3 support on the DS3R for future-proofing)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600: $290ish (waiting for price drop)
Video Card: SAPPHIRE 100186L Radeon X1950XT 256MB: $150 after rebate (waiting on going DX10, since the cards in my price range will be underpowered for the future DX10 games)
RAM: 2 sets of OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 timing: $160 total (4GB) from Frys This RAM looks okay to me, even though its kind of an "off brand" the timings look good, as do the reviews. Any other suggestions, including 2GB vs. 4GB?)
Power Supply OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W: $85 after rebate (Looks really nice, but there's no modular cables. Is that a dealbreaker?)
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s: $120 (Open to other hard drives.)
Optical Drive: Not sure yet, what would you recommend for a quiet, fast DVD/CD burner?
CPU Cooler: Tuniq Tower 120 T-120-LFB (Seems to be the best)
Thermal Paste: Artic Cooling 5
Case: Antec Nine Hundred (already bought for $70)

As far as the RAM goes, I know I would have to go Vista x64 to get the full advantage of it. Figured I'd go ahead and take advantage of cheap DDR2 while I could. Is Vista x64 really a driver nightmare, or is it okay?
Thanks in advance for your help.

64-bit OS are fine as long as you check that every thing you're going to use has a driver, this is usually the case, unless it's some cheapo add-on from a generic/random maker that can't be bothered to make a 64-bit compatible driver.

Thanks. It seems like the 64 bit will be fine, and it'll allow that 4gb of RAM to not go to waste.

Okay, someone else has recommended the Corsair 520w CMPSU-520HX modular power supply. I suppose the trade-off is less voltage compared to the 700w GameXStream, but you get modular cables, which I've heard is quite useful for the Antec Nine Hundred. I've used some power supply calculators and have found that the 520w would probably be enough, but what do you guys think? Which of those 2 PSU's (or an un-named 3rd PSU under $120ish) should I get?

Corsair 520HX or Antec NeoHE 550, great modular sub $130 PSUs. (Haha funny you mention it, I'm an antec/corsair fanboy, especially over OCZ, but can't deny their products are decent too)
