referring to the guide from greysky, he had it running at 9 x 333 MHz. He said he has DDR2-800 memory running at 667. So:

"Does this mean that he actually underclocked your memory from 800 to 667? If so, was it so it could run at a ratio of 1:1 with the FSB of the board/processor? 667 with DDR means 333 because you have to divide by 2, correct?

Also, if he did underclock the FSB of the memory, would that enable him to run it at faster timings?"

1. Yes, it was so you get 1:1. 1:1 is always best.

 

It should be able to have tighter timings yes.
