Okay so I have been doing ever more research and have revised my build to these componets. The big question is still whether to go quad or dual core. This will be primarily used for gaming so the quad seems to have the best specs for now. BUT. I probobly wont upgrade the cpu for a longgg time(last time i used the same one for 6 years). This seems to favor the quad as it is more future proof. Whats your opinion? Also I might try to overclock the quad it seems like people are getting 3ghz pretty commonly on air cooling.
Lesser question what do you think of this ram?
So here goes the list will be ordering after price drops.

personally, I'd not bother with quad core until I see proven benchmarks in games showing that it actually matters... that graphics card will become a bottleneck long before a dual core will, I'd just get E2140 and overclock to 3ghz+ (which will outperform a standard E6700 according to the benches)

then in 1-2 years time when games actually need a quad core pick one up for less than half the price they are now

the RAM you've selected is good

Better watch out for those large coolers if you plan to fit it into your case.

Dimensions on that are:

131 x 108 x 153mm

5.15 x 4.25 x 6.02 Inches

Thats almost as big as the Syth Infinity for height on the heatsink and the reviewer said it was too big for the CoolerMaster 832 Stacker

ewiz.com has the ACFreezer 7 for $22 shipped. Thats where I got mine. Also, either of the RAM choices would work. I would go for the cheaper of the two. Quad Core is okay... definitely a hard decision. I myself would probably just go with an e6750 ($220) or something similar. Just think, most games are just barely starting to support dual cores.

Thanks for all the input. I like the p180 case look, but I absolutly hate cases with a front door, the lian-lis look nice but they are laking in cooling. I chose the acfreezer because it price and size. the tuniq tower is huge and I dont want to have to deal with making it fit. I'm still going back and forth on the cpu. replacing video card and memory are no big deal, I dont want to have to change proccesors for as long as possible. But the faster clock speeds on the dual core is definetly better for right now.

Okay since I want the processor to last thru several upgrades I have decided to go Quad. With most newer gamer being quad core enabled it will pay off to have the extra cores in the future and for now it is only a hair slower than the 6850 on most gaming benchmarks. thanks for the input.
