Sata 1 and Sata 2 in same pc?

I have a new PC that I built about a year ago. I have a single Sata2 (300Gb) 80 gig HD as my main drive. A buddy gave me an older Sata 1 (150Gb) 250 gig HD that I wanted to use as a storage drive.

Will I be able to do this without any problems and will my main Sata2 drive still work at normal speeds?

All this is going into an EVGA 680i mobo

Should not have any problems. Connect the hdd with the OS to the SATA 1 connector and the storage to SATA2 on the mobo. Make sure you have to BIOS set to boot off the one with the OS
