Dual Channel Memory Configuration

Okay, this is gonna be a noob question but...

I have a Gigabyte p35-DS3R mobo, how do I enable dual channel memory? I feel retarded for asking, but I really am confused. Is it the two slots that are paired, or is it matching colors?

At first, I had my RAM side by side, one in a yellow slot and one in a red. Now, since I saw nothing in the BIOS that mentioned dual channel memory, I moved the RAM to yellow/yellow, but still haven't seen anything.

Also kinda curious as to how I check my RAM timings... they are supposed to be 4-4-4-12, but don't know where to look hehe.

I have 2gigs of Crucial Ballistix (2x1gig) DDR2800.

And yeah, I'm a noob =P Also trying to learn how to OC...

I do not own the Gigabyte board, so I'm not entirely certain, but usually installing the DIMMS in the same colored slots will be dual channel. Read your MB manual to make sure. The memory timings are set up in BIOS. Read the MB manual under BIOS configuration. To check dual channel and timings download and run CPUZ. Here:

Thanks! I just got that CPU-Z, and it shows my clocks (which I just learned how to set) and that it is in Dual Channel!
