im new to customizing my pc and i noticed that on the mobo i've had for a while that there was a space for an AGP slot and i was confused why it wasn't put in. i've done somethings to my pc already like add a new power supply and proccesor but I was wondering if theres a way to add an AGP slot to my motherboard because that would be a big jump from the pci fx5500 that i've got now.

I don't know what mobo you have, but some cheap ones with integrated graphics dont put them in, they just have a whole heap of solder points where it would be on the pricier models. IF this is the case, I don't think you can add it yourself - you'd need to get a new mobo with an AGP (or preferably a PCIx16 - AGP is slowly being phased out) slot.
