This is for a Q6600 rig. I plan to overclock no higher than 3.0GHZ, but i DO plan to overclock. Are there any compatibility issues here? I'm wondering about an IDE DVD/CDrw with that Mobo. Looks like it might not handle it? I cant imagine it wouldnt be able to, but I didnt see IDE as a listed connection type. Anything else stick out? It's a 3D App machine, not a gaming.

It looks good as far as compatibility comes, but for 3D apps and any kind of intensive work I believe you're going to benefit from 4GB and that means you're going to need a 64-bit OS to go with it. Unless the apps you're planning to run are not ram intensive.

3DS is my main App, along with some Premier and Photoshop. Im trying to work a 64bit copy of XP out of my school (which just 10 days ago got rid of all their 64bit licenses and switched to only Vista Business 32).

Try REALLY hard to get the 64 bit versions, because I could be wrong, but I really think those apps are VERY ram intensive.

Yes, they are. I'm not sure if you need a 64bit version of each though, Going to have to look into that. Thanks for the quick check!
