PC Chips + VIA V7 1.5ghz Motherboard freezing and crashing...

It was only til recently that I experimented with Vista Home Basic on there and resulted it in 5 BSODs ( all were IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL ) ...so then I reinstalled XP and I still found that it crashed also..I was thinking that it might've been something with the IGP but I don't know

Yesterday , I installed PCLinux 07 and when I was compiling Pidgin 2.0.2 , it just hanged and froze on me.

the VIA system shouldn't need much of a powerful power supply would it? ...I doubt the PSU is really crapping out and it's not that bad since one of my friends have the same PSU and managed to run a Pentium 4 3.2ghz with a FX5500 on it?

it's a PC Chips V21G Bios 1.0D ( dated 6/28/07 )
VIA C7 1.5 ghz Processor
VIA Unichrome S3 IGP
512MB DDR2 533 + 512MB DDR2 667 ( both of them are clocked to 533 but they still refuse to run dual-channel )
80GB Western Digital 7200RPM EIDE ATA 100 Hard Drive
Samsung 16X EIDE DVD-Rom Drive
350W PSU ( from Apeiva X-Dreamer II Case )

I've used it for about 4-5 months and I'm thinking of RMAing it for a replacement...
