20+4 Pin Powersupply

Ok I keep reading this topic and never get a straight answer

My powersupply has a 20+4 Pin meaning all together they make 24 pins but 4 can be seperated. My motherboard is a 24Pin Connection.

Do I keep them all together and plug all 24 into the board into the 24 pin slot?

There is a seperate 4 pin for the PCU on my Tagan 1100 which is not related to this wire.

Thanks for any help

Use the 24 pin for the main 24 pin power plug on your MB. A seperate 4 pin 12v lead from the PSU is an auxillary 12v lead to the CPU.
  2. You may have to separate the 4 from the 20 in order to plug the 4 in, ran into this with an ASUS board
