I have a HDD via SATA connected to my 965P. Whenever I boot it for the day, BIOS doesn't recognize the HDD, I have to wait a while (1-2 minutes) and restart the computer for the HDD to be recognized. Is this a problem with the HDD spinner. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks

Go into the BIOS and makes sure the drive sequence is Floppy, hdd with OS on it, DVD drive. Make sure the hdd with the OS on is the boot drive in the BIOS as well Ran into a similar problem and the sequence had the DVD before the hdd, switched it and solved the problem

Ok so I tested it today, and that didn't work. I also switched the sata connection and the connection to the PSU, any other suggestions? maybe a faulty HDD?

Run Windows Disk Check as well as the hdd mfg diagnostic/repair software, preferably off a floppy. This can help determine if it's a bad drive.

Open your case in the morning and place screwdriver blade against the HDD and put your ear to the handle. Switch on and you should her the drive spin up, or not!
