I want to upgrade my graphics and i'm considering picking the KO ACS3 version of the GTX, it cost a bit more than the superclocked edition but the KO is supposed to have a superior ACS3 cooling solution, does anyone know if it works better than the stock GTX cooler?

Google is your friend.
"The new ACS3 cooler is far better than Nvidia one. It cools some 5 to 6 Celsius better than Nvidia's stock cooler and it lets a G80 chip reach 626MHz core and the memory to work at 2GHz."

I have my 8800GTX at 620MHz on the core and 2000MHz on the memory, so if the ACS3 cooler only gets it to 626 and 2000, then it's probably not worth it.
