living in the county has some advantages but not when it comes to getting any broadband services! No dsl no cable so have found that my phone co. offers a ISDN line (speeds up to 128kps) using both chls..which is alot better then my 31400 with my dialup..this is not a cheap choice but may be my only answer..and now for my question's..has anyone tryed this ..does it work..what would be a good isdn ta.(isdn modem)..how hard is this gonna be for me to conif and is there any other way for me to get a faster connection besides satellite (game players here and delay is a killer)..lol I havent been able to find any threads on this or if anyones knows where i fight find more info on this''or has done this before..or has any info that might be helpeful..it would be greatly appreciated..thank you
I used to use dual ISDN (I've now got a 2mb/s ADSL connection, hehe). When I use both channels the speed difference between ISDN and 56k was noticable but in single channel mode (64k) you wont notice the extra 8kb/s bandwidth. If you're going to use both channels you have got to enable both of them in windows. If its going to cost you a lot of money I dont think ISDN is worth it.
Where are you from? Cant you get ADSL?
