I have a dead M2N-E after an attempted BIOS update.

I was attempting to update the BIOS using the ASUSUpdate tool. I have done this several times before, and sometimes the tool wouldn't work. In that case I would use the CD shipped with the board and reload the BIOS from it. Now the board doesn't see the CD, I don't even get any kind of POST beep.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi. I guess the mobo must be resetted. If the bios update went as it should with no checksum errors, then everything is fine. The Asus m2n-e board needs to reset.

Howto: Remove the powercord. Remove the battery. Clear Cmos. Let the battery and cmos jumper stay on for some minutes because 10sek or less does not do the trick. Let it be for 2 minutes atleast. Then place the cmos jumper to 1-2 position and put the battery back on.

The mobo should start after this procedure.
