Why does my computer save to xps and wont print

I need to fix my printing problem. I have a wireless connection to my printer and i had it printing a setup page and then when i started printing from sites or receipts from programs, it saves to my computer and says file is xps. please someone tell me whatto do. did I hit a wrong button?

Dear Lembi it is now 2010 and you probably forgot about this, but thank you I checked my default printer and fixed the problem in a click, thank you
