Obviously the latest one- DX 11. But there are not too many games utilizing that yet.

Yep, if you have DX11 installed, any game that requires Direct X anything-at-all will work perfectly.

the best directx for games is the latest directx that the game supports.....except for DirectX 10. Even if a game supports Directx 10, using Directx 9 is the better choice in nearly every discussion found on the internet.
