Same speed and same timings as you can see, but for the life of me I can't make them get along. My computer refuses to boot unless the ram speed is set to ddr333 or lower. The ram I originally had is both out of stock and twice the price, so thats not really an option. Are there any tricks I can try to make this work, and if not, how am I supposed to figure out what ram is compatible with other ram?
Have you tried the new RAM on it's own and see if it works ok. IF the RAM works on it's own then check the timings of both sets of RAM - use CPU-Z. They're are probably different. Can you post you specs?
you might have to increase the timings to get the RAM to work together.
back the timings off a little and make sure to put one stick of each brand in each channel - not one brand in one channel the other in the other channel.

4 sticks can give problems even if they are the exact same 4 sticks. Gotta remember it's a 128 bit bus and when you load it down with more than one module .... hell I'm surprised it works at all. Why do you think buses are all serial now?
Not to be a Smart a$$ but I have a Biostar m9-6100 w/2 sticks of Corsair XMS and 2 sticks of Mushkin value ram, It had to have the timings set a little slower than the slower speed sticks to work, but it does work.

^^ I have two sticks of Patriot ddr2 667 and two sticks of Corsair XMS2 ddr2 675. To get mine to work I had to lower the speed to 533. Runs fine.
As for the OP's problem...if they are matched speeds and matched timings..maybe up the voltage a tiny bit. Might solve the problem, Otherwise try backing off the timings as others have suggested.
