I had a virus and now my vista operating system is damaged

Hello, I had a virus despite my Norton program. The Norton techs were able to remove it but now my Vista operating system is damaged. I want to install windows 7 and get rid of Vista. Can someone tell me how I can do this??? And if installing windows 7 as an upgrade will work?? I have backed up my data, pictures on an external drive, but do I need to backup the drivers and wireless internet stuff too?? Please help!! Christine

Sure, you can go the upgrade route. Head to Microsoft's store and purchase the disk. From there, you'll want to boot from the cd/dvd drive and follow the instructions. I would recommend doing a custom install, which will completely wipe the hard drive first and then do the W7 install.
