The fsb dictates which cpus it can run, it should run 1066 ram though even though it only says it runs DDR800.... if not straight out of the box, then a bios update should sort it out. Ask in the motherboard section, or have a look at the evga website in the bios downloads bit, and see what updates it lists under each bios. Something like 'enhanced memory compatibility' is what you want.
Apparently EVGA or Newegg reads these forums because after I posted this question they changed the description on the "Memory Standard" to say that it supports up to 1200 Mhz
