looking for cpu upgrade from Pentium D 945 3.4

Hi all

Im looking to upgrade my CPU
can anyone suggest to me which CPU that i can go with
and im planing only to change my CPU
and please check my system specs before any suggestions

At this stage any C2D 4xxx will be a huge improvement. I found my 4300 faster at stock speeds than my 9xxD at 3.6Ghz, so u cant really lose.

As for ur specs, i cbf reading them but there is (pretty much) no faster cpu u can get in the 'D' series, so u may need a new mobo to support a c2d.

Check ur mobo specs online, if it doesnt support c2d... theres not much u can do apart from getting a good hsf and overclocking.

But thats research YOU need to do.
