More about what guys parts
  1. Have a whole walk-in closet full of stuff. Sometimes I give them to friends/family. Have built whole PC's with left-over parts and given to aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, etc.
It's also nice to have some parts around that you know worked before in case an upgrade gives you or a friend problems. Used PC parts aren't worth much, and giving them away to help someone or using them to troubleshoot is worth more to me than the few bucks I'd get if I sold them.
  2. yeah, build spare computers so others dont have to use yours.
  3. Yeah, I use the parts to troubleshoot my own and others' computers. There's also the nostalgia factor and the slim chance that three hundred years from now they can be sold to museums and my descendents will be rich and famous.
  4. I have an extra X2 3800 that I never OCed and used for 10 months.. I'm thinking of just building another cheap pc with it. I have an older pc I use as well that has 2gig of pc2700 ddr ram but I dont think I can use it on a AM2 mother board
  5. 2x AMD Athlon MP 2200+
    1GB DDR 2100 Registered ECC
    Geforce 4 TI4600

used to be hot **** back in the day for playing Quake 3 and video editing..now its my humble file server ^^
  6. I gave away my PC to my cousin last year. An old Athlon XP-M 2600+ with a Radeon 9800Pro.

Not sure what to do with my 4 year old HTPC when I retire it. An old Althon XP-M 2600+ and AIW Radeon 9600XT. I'' probably just box it up and store it away.
  7. i usually scrap the computer, and sell it piece by piece on ebay. it usually doesnt generate much, but its better than sitting in my closet. then i can use it for my new build.

but giving it away is good too, if you got the money. feed the needy!
  8. I'm too lazy to try to sell it online, I generally end up throwing it away if no friends or family need it.
