DX10 hardware is in full bloom, and we have the skinny on how well current cards perform under Windows XP on a host of games.

Sorry its a bit better than the mess that was the spring update but they still insist on including cards in benchmarks where they dont support the settings thus giving them abnormally high scores.
I know its wrong but someone who didnt know could be badly and expensivly mislead.

Is there a chart of laptop based video cards? I have a friend who wants advise about buying a laptop for general purpose computing and gaming. How do the available laptop video adapters match up?

Its too complicated as a lot of the chips are intergrated so its not just a case of swapping out cards like you do on a desktop.

He's buying a complete laptop. Many of the laptops come with options at purchase time. I just wanted to get an idea of what the video performance would be like in games.

Most of these cards have no DX10 support, including my own - how should we interpret these charts?

I'm not being critical, I think it is interesting, but I am not sure if I can learn anything much.
