can i Merge 2 partitions on the same Hard Drive

when i bought my 200gb HD i partitioned it into 3 parts, 1st for the windows xp and software, 2nd for games, and 3rd for storage. now i wanna know if i can merge #2 and #3? if i cant, is there a way to format the #2 and #3 partitions and THEN merge them?

Use a program like Norton Partition Magic to resize your partitions and delete them. Just move your data to the partition you want to keep, resizing once or twice until it is all moved.

copy all data to one of the partitions, delete other, resize to max.
