Can someone tell me the difference between these two coolers, the NT should be special for nforce, but what's so special about it. As far as I saw on the zalman site (my adsl now has a international routing problem, tomshardware is also down, guess this forum is hosted inside the EU) the only difference is blue vs green and copper vs alluminium.
I took my old science book and there i saw: aluminium +/-240 score for heat conduction and copper +/-400.
So this would mean the copper is the better one, though it is 7 euro cheaper then the NT one:S.
What is happening here?

They're both copper, the NT has a 4pin PWM fan pin while the other one has a 3 pin connector.

The NT just so happens to be coated in nickel to give it that silver look.

Also make sure you're not comparing the 9500 vs 9700, the 9700 is obviously the higher performing one.

well on newegg they are both the same price.

the nt is better to get. if your paying 7euro more than get the 9700. the 9700nt is for "cool" purposes.

i have the 9700 nt sitting in my house right now. its endorsed my nvidia for their nforce boards. i dont think nothing is really different besides the power plug and the color.

correct me if i am wrong but isn't nickel better than copper? ( heck i dont know lol)

The NT has a special connector for a 4pin PWM for different fan control on mobos/fan controllers that support it. There should be absolutely no difference in performance between the two models, and if anything the nickel would hinder performance.

So just get the one which suites your tastes/needs, they both perform the same.

What does my Asus p5n32-e need? PWM or the old one??? In the netherlands the cheapest normal edition is 46 euro and the cheapest NT is 50. Though at some shops there is a difference of 10-15 euro's between the two versions.
