is it going to give me enough juice if I OC a bit?  I was thinking of a 700W OCZ GameXStream, but i hear its loud and doesn't come with the 8 pin pci-e connector.  the corsair is about $20 more.  are there any other good PSUs in the same price range as these?

Here's a link to a calculator to see what you need for your components. http://www.extreme.outervision.com/index.jsp
The corsair is a fantastic psu, however it doesnt have 8 pin connectors to your gfx card, so you wont be able to overclock your 2900xt. Take a second to rethink what you're going to spend on the PSU. Take a gander at the PSU section of the forums and expecially the link to the tiered PSU list. You will likely spend 150-200 on a good solid PSU. Off the top of my head many Enermax PSU's have an 8pin PCIe plug.
