What is nvidia raid function

Hello,
My Vista-run computer has suddenly started running dog slow. We're talking Commodore-64 slow here. I managed to buy and install McAfee and run it, and it said my system is clean. Being doubtful, I un-installed and ran the free version of AVG, and it said the system was clean too, so I re-installed the purchased version of McAfee & uninstalled AVG. System still dog-slow. Today, a window popped-up and said "NVIDIA RAID service English Language has stopped working" I selected "close program"
What the heck is going on with my computer, and how do I fix it? I want to get it smoothed out so that I can do a full-up install of Windows 7 and get rid of Vista.

You won't need the Vista installation to be 'smoothed out' before installing Windows 7. The Vista installation will be wiped having no bering on Windows 7
when that OS is installed after the hard drive format.

As far as the Vista OS you are using currently, try running Ccleaner.

Use the Windows Upgrade Advisor to check for any problems before you start. It will also avdvise of any software issues.

As badge said a clean install of W7 will be just that, Vista will have no impact on it, unless you were going to do an inplace upgrade, that would be a different situation where you would need to sort it first.
